Storytelling in Zadar - Back to Heritage Residency Programme, University of Zadar, Croatia, 2010
Storytelling in Zadar was created during the international residency programme Back to Heritage, organised by the University of Zadar.
I was awarded a Step Beyond Scholarship from the European Cultural Foundation, which supported my travel from Bucharest to Croatia and the production of the exhibition.
Presented in the historic Church of St. Dominic, the works were inspired by the Romanian ballad Mesterul Manole and by local stories and legends I encountered during my stay in Zadar. The exhibition formed part of a wider programme of workshops, site-specific projects, and public exhibitions that brought together emerging artists from across Europe to engage with the cultural heritage of Zadar.
