MOSAIKEN 5 the project

Mosaiken is proposing to the German public a sample of very young Romanian art. This art is young by age but also by its instrumentality and artistic identity within the Romanian art context, that is more and more present beyond its borders.

Mosaiken means 5 distinct artistic directions but still united through the same conceptual instrumentality like intimacy, personal histories, symbols, critique of spirituality and sin.

Mosaiken talks about the mirage capacity of reality , about the beauty and resorts of fantastic realism, in the context of Romanian contemporary art.

Each artist exhibits a mosaic of works creating a personal world. There are therefore five segments of mosaics. The subjects are distinctive and representative to each one of them.

Intimate Zoomorphism of Spirit

As a continuance of the concerns about the personal substance of the important people and events in her life, in the Mosaiken 5 Project, Otilia tries to obtain an answer and a communication method with the world by portraying real characters in relation to inner feelings, described in the aesthetic spirit of image to the fantastic register.

The concepts described in this dialog are the human being and the animal as a visual mark of their spiritual quality. In this way Otilia is using the animal symbol in strong relationship to the human carrier.
